A hardscape can be any form of paved area in which the bare earth is no longer exposed.
This is a commonly used term in urban or suburban areas where there is limited exposed earth. Some examples of hardscapes are: patios, walkways, driveways, roadways, traffic circles and walls. We can also include water features in this category as there is a divide with the bare earth to collect the water, and recycle it back through the feature.
Hardscapes are great options to enhance the entrance to a home or make a backyard more inviting. They are also great tools for commercial developments, adding usable space and curb appeal.
